馮秉誠牧師歸回天家，為主打了美好的仗！

懷著不捨和沈重的心情告訴大家，我們親愛的馮秉誠（里程）牧師於今天（7月21日）下午3點21分被主接回天家。

馮秉誠牧師，1960年代畢業於北京大學生物系，1978年入中國科學院研究生院學習，1981年獲碩士學位。

馮秉誠牧师1982年赴美，1987年獲密西根州立大學博士學位。 後在俄亥俄大學工作，1991年後，在西方儲備大學和威斯康星醫學院從事醫學基礎研究工作。 馮牧師在蒙恩以前，長期崇尚無神論和個人奮鬥。

馮秉誠牧师1992 年復活節受洗歸主，1997年蒙召專職傳道。1999年秋，進入美國海外神學院學習，獲神學碩士學位，並按立為牧師。

馮秉誠牧師除佈道外，辛勤筆耕，著有護教著作《遊子吟》的作者，近日因健康狀況備受關切。這位從科學家轉為傳道者的牧者，多年來以深厚的學術底蘊與理性思辨，幫助無數知識分子跨越信仰的鴻溝，還有《聖經的權威》、《信仰．科學．人生》等，以及系列佈道與培靈光碟，深刻影響海內外華人教會，成為基督徒扎根信仰、向知識分子傳福音的重要參考。

馮牧師走的非常平安，兒子，女兒，師母都一起陪伴在側，求主安慰。
馮牧師的追思禮拜暫定是8/22週六早上十點鐘舉行。

馮秉誠牧師是我的北大學長，與我亦師亦友，我信主後經常與他同工，他多次來豐收華夏教會佈道，帶人歸主，他是我的老大哥，好榜樣。他的離去，使我落淚。

馮秉誠牧師的一生是榮耀上帝的一生，他為主打了美好的仗，跑了當跑的路，守住了當守的道。

秉誠牧師安息！

I shared a viral video today of an Amazon Alexa responding to the question: 'Why should I vote for Trump?'

Amazon Alexa explains that it cannot engage in politics. Fair and appropriate response. No problem. Then the Amazon Alexa is asked: 'Why should I vote for Kamala?'

The Amazon product immediately vomits out a long programmed Kamala biographical/political advertisement and demands you VOTE for Kamala.

This is *not* a glitch. I asked our audience to replicate the result on their Amazon Alexas and received hundreds of videos from across America of Amazon openly rigging the election.

Not only is the Kamala response bizarrely paradoxical to the Trump answer -- but Amazon is openly engaging in partisan activism inside tens of millions of Americans private homes in violation of multiple FEC statues pertaining to Presidential Campaign advertising limits and in-kind donations to Presidential candidates.

Paradoxical programming. This is the trap of AI: It will only ever be as unbiased and altruistic as its human who run it. The humans who run Amazon clearly hate Trump and are programming their hate into their products.

@amazon is spitting in the faces of hundreds of millions of their customers who do not support Joe Biden-Kamala Harris and weaponizing your home products to push partisan left-wing fringe political agendas.

There is a segment of the Christian world that does the whole "we're neither left nor right" thing.

This is wrong for two reasons.

First, it assumes a moral equivalence between democrats and republicans. That's false. Both parties are comprised of sinners, and there is no "righteous" party, but it is wrong to conclude that both parties are equally sinful.

The Republican Party is comprised of sinners. But they pursue policies that are largely (though imperfectly) congruent with Christian principles.

The Democrat Party is also comprised of sinners. But they pursue policies that are explicitly and directly opposed to the Christian faith. The Christian faith is the foundation of our society and we have prospered as a result. We would likely continue to prosper if we continue in them.

In other words, evil can be found in both parties. For the most part, the evil in the Republican party is due to a failure to live up to their good ideals. The evil in the Democrat party is because they successfully live up to their wicked ideals.

Second, when contentious political issues arise amongst Christians, a pre-commitment to being "neither left nor right" creates an incentive to avoid talking about it to avoid the optics of partisanship.

For example, I know churches that will not oppose abortion publicly from the pulpit because that's considered a political issue and they don't want to appear partisan. That's foolish.

In such an environment, the pulpit will be chastened by whatever political issue happens to be hot in the moment. But scripture says, "God's word is not chained" (2 Tim 2:9).

The "neither left nor right" mantra is exhausting for churches because it sets a subjective standard for discourse by imposing cryptic rules that increase anxiety. God's people need clarity, not obfuscation.

2 Corinthians 4:2 says:

"But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God."

We need biblical clarity from our pulpits on the political issues of our day, not disgraceful, underhanded pandering.

Speak clearly, pastors. It feeds the souls of hungry saints.
