I just got scammed by a seller on @Gametime, and Gametime’s loopholes helped them do it. Here’s how:

I bought tickets in June for a concert in Toronto tonight (9/11). A few weeks later, tickets were delivered—the wrong ones, for a show in Nashville. I told Gametime. They contacted the seller, the seller cancelled, and I was told to wait for a @Ticketmaster link.

I contacted Gametime three times in July because the tickets never arrived as promised. Each time I was promised an update. No update ever came.
For the buyer, Gametime’s rigid rules don’t allow a refund. Their system treated the order as delivered because I had received tickets—just the wrong ones.

Gametime advertises that it’s not unusual to get tickets 48–24 hours before an event. I called 48 hours out and was told to call in 24. I called yesterday and was told to call today.

I could see the red flags in July. Their policy basically requires the buyer to trust the seller until it’s too late. You have no option but to wait and hope.
After my sixth contact today, Gametime finally agreed this was a scam, not a replacement issue. I could have bought elsewhere on platforms with better consumer policies, but Gametime’s process helped the scammer and accepted their story until the day of the event.

Scams aren’t new. Gametime isn’t new. If I could see this two months ago, why couldn’t they?

I was offered 110% site credit or my money back. The hassle of following their process is worth far more than 10% of the purchase. Customer service repeated the seller’s false information.

Currently waiting on a full refund. Cancelling tonight's plans, except if @StubHub @SeatGeek @TickPick y'all have any real ground-floor tickets for President band tonight?

An 83-year-old woman in Canada cried for 45 minutes after being told she was going to die and said, “I’ve made a mistake.” Two days later, the procedure still went ahead.

Her granddaughter says she had failed basic cognitive questions, had previously said she did not want MAiD, and did not give clear consent on the morning she died.

Then comes the part that turns your stomach: the nurse struggled repeatedly to insert the IV, leaving blood all over her arm, nightgown and sheets, while the family says no gloves were being worn.

The family is now fighting for answers, and police say the case is under investigation.

16,499 Canadians died through MAID in 2024, 5.1% of all deaths.

By raw numbers, that would make euthanasia the country’s "fourth-largest cause of death."
