I’ve come a long way from PT, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis last year. I had to relearn how to run a single mile. Today, I just ran my first official half marathon (13.1 miles) event in 1:44:57 (avg pace 8’01”/mi).
I can’t wait to run my first full marathon next year.
2026 Giants Walk Offs, in pictures: a season-long, ongoing 🧵
1. May 10th vs. the Pirates (Mother’s Day) - F/12: 7 - 6
Hero: Jesus Rodriguez
With the bases loaded, rookie catcher Rodriguez comes through in the clutch in the 12th with a single to right, scoring Heliot Ramos.
@MarkLazerus Arguably the definitive SW ranking. I’m on board. I also think it’s funny that you completely left Resistance off of the list. And Young Jedi Adventures, but that’s more understandable.
The #SFGiants have MLB's ninth-highest batting average (.243), yet they're 29th in runs per game (3.19).
SF is 28th in OBP (.288) and ISO (.113), last in walk rate (5.8%) by 1.3 pct. points.
Little example of how batting average alone isn't highly correlated with run creation.
This was the first career big league win for Matt Gage, who hasn't allowed a run yet this season. It comes 12 years after the Giants drafted him, and he pitched in the big leagues for three other organizations before returning last year.
Tony Vitello said on @MLBNetwork that Chappy was just telling (Schmitt) about the Catalina wine mixer."
Catch the f**king ball? Nope. F**king Catalina Wine Mixer? Yep.
I remember heckling this dude on Buster Posey Day from the bleachers when he was a Cardinal, and now he’s a pretty solid Giant signed under Buster Posey. Poetic.
