Five more days until my book is published in English, after its warm and loving incubation in Israel. If everyone is as nice to it as @VictortheVoiceF was, I believe it will do fine, @watkinsbooks. #the_life_fantastic

@Sotherans I feel intense identification pains. And your book looks great! I'm not famous or talented enough so as to make a difference ๐ but I really want to read it now
Watched Empire Strikes Back with the kid for the first time. He is ten years old. I forgot you could not know that Vader is Luke's father. Seeing his eyes widening ... it was magic.
Reminds me so much of the year I stood for ten days at the booths during Book Week while my stalker was at large. Book Week again soon. I'm still apprehensive. it's been 15 years

insane how the only notable change since Sandy Hook is that kids are now formally trained to hide, barricade doors, fight, or run for their lives. that was the solution. to literally put the responsibility on them to figure it out and wish them luck.
I'm a reader. Before I became a literary critic and an editor, I was a reader. But sometimes I find a story that reads me, that understands me and why I do what I do. That sees me. What a rare and wonderous thing this is, a book that looks back at you. #adventuresinediting
