Our essential workers selflessly served their fellow New Yorkers throughout COVID.
We will honor them with an Essential Workers Monument.
They are heroes and have our utmost respect and thanks.
Today we launched Excelsior Pass, a free platform for businesses & individuals that can be used to easily access secure proof of a recent negative COVID test or vaccination.
It's a first of its kind tool to help NY fight COVID while reopening our economy safely.
Learn More:
The next COVID-19 aid package must include state & local funding, rent & mortgage relief, help restaurant workers & end SALT.
The federal gov must offer a real solution to the looming eviction crisis.
My full letter to NY's Congressional delegation:

Mr. President—this is your last act.
You will be accountable for this COVID bill and its results.
The bill MUST help struggling Americans & fund state/local aid & vaccine distribution.
You're about to exit the stage & the audience always remember the close.
It's up to you.
BREAKING: Members of Congress who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on living expenses a year are confused why the American people can’t live off of $600. Story developing.
Today's update on the numbers:
Of the 208,297 tests reported yesterday, 11,271 were positive (5.41% of total).
Total hospitalizations are at 4,222.
Sadly, there were 60 COVID fatalities yesterday.
At a time when people are going hungry, no food should go to waste.
Here’s how New York is connecting farms with food banks to bring good, local food to families in need.
COVID thrives in big gatherings. Here’s how dangerous it is.
7 people who DID NOT even attend a wedding in August died.
We all must take care of each other.
COVID fatigue is one thing. COVID denial is another.
Remember: You don’t just put yourself at risk when you host large indoor gatherings and flout the law.
You put other people at risk.
Your family. Your friends.
Knock it off.
NEW: NYS will deploy 400,000 rapid result test kits free of charge to local health depts, hospitals, pharmacies & health care providers across the state.
We will also provide free test kits, as needed, to all localities to help them meet new testing requirements at schools.
#BREAKING: New York will honor the life and legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a statue in Brooklyn, her birthplace.
This statue will serve as a physical reminder of Justice Ginsburg's monumental contributions to the America we know today and as an inspiration for all.
