Officials from MAAIF, Housing Finance and Pearl Banks led by Dr. Assimwe Grace, the Principal Veterinary Officer at MAAIF, have spent the day in Mubende District engaging various stakeholders on the implementation of the FMD Vaccination Cost-Recovery Scheme.
National Agricultural Show: The 32nd edition of Uganda’s biggest Agricultural event will take place at the Agricultural Showgrounds in #JinjaCity from the 26th of June to the 5th of July 2026.

This week, National Oil Seeds Project (NOSP) held cluster performance review meetings across the 9 sub‑regions of operation to assess project progress, address implementation challenges, and strengthen collaboration in the oil seeds value chain.
These bring together DLG officials, farmer representatives, private agribusiness development service providers, financial institutions and researchers to generate practical recommendations and action plans to guide next Financial Year’s project implementation
@MAAIF_Uganda is this week conducting Cluster Performance Review Meetings under the @NOSP_UG across the 9 beneficiary sub regions. The meetings are aimed at reviewing project progress as regards achievements attained so far.
These have sofar been held in the Karamoja sub region in Napak, Mid Northern-Lango sub region in Lira, Teso sub region in Soroti, Northern Uganda in Gulu, West Nile in Arua and Bukedi sub region in Mbale district.
These will also identify challenges that hindered project implementation but also identify opportunities for investment and strength collaboration among stakeholders within the oil seeds value chains.

Cabinet Approves Implementation of Trade Order to Strengthen Orderly Trade
The Government has approved the implementation of the Trade Order, following a Cabinet sitting held on 27th, reaffirming its commitment to promoting orderly, structured, sustainable trade across Uganda.
PS Kumumanya Expands LoCAL Action
Mr. Ben Kumumanya the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Local Government officially opened the 3rd National LoCAL Workshop in Gulu at Boma Hotel, onboarding Rwampara, Terego, Kyankwanzi, Amuru and Gulu districts onto the LoCAL Facility.
Government assures traders affected by the trade order that it will find new work stations for those who will not find space in the existing markets.

Nakapiripirit – Namalu S/C: On the ground with the Support Implementation Mission Team assessing the 3.8km Namalu–Kaiku Community Access Road, now at 85% completion and progressing well.
This road will improve access to oilseeds markets and essential social services.@MoLGUganda
IFAD impressed with NOSP progress
8th NOSP–IFAD Mission (13 Apr–05 May 2026) shows strong progress at 92.5% (1,034 km of roads completed).
In Napak, the Lorengecora–Cholicholi–Kalukuruk road (10 km) is 85% complete, boosting access, trade & livelihoods.@MoLGUganda@MAAIF_Uganda
