BREAKING: Donald Trump's former AG Bill Barr spells out doom for his old boss — making it very clear that the ex-president is going down for his classified documents crimes.

"Based on the facts, as the facts come out, I think over time people will see that this is not a case of the Department of Justice conducting a witch hunt," said Barr about Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation, destroying the popular MAGA refrain.

"This would have gone nowhere had the president just returned the documents, but he jerked them around for a year and a half," said Barr.

"And the question is did he deceive them? And if there's evidence of that I think people will start to see that this says more about Trump than it does the Department of Justice," he went on.

Barr slammed his former boss as "so egotistical" that it gives him a "penchant" for "risk, reckless acts" in order to "show that he can sort of get away with it" as part of "asserting his ego."

"There is no excuse for what he did here," Barr concluded.
