@ekwufinance I've been interested in joining the industry (Australia) but the levels of certs and licensing to get even basic bitch jobs is appalling. I almost believe anyone not raised into it doesn't have a decent shot in the industry without inside help.
@Pyrrhic1g@crystal_horror_ If that wasn't enough, the children of the people who DO have kids pay for the pensions and wipe the asses of the childless people in old age.
@manicomiland@ExtremistChad@MemeCopium Without a tonne of outside help or networks, no one. Even including those things, the only people who've even come close are celebrities from other parts of media.
@RichardArion1 Do they? When they have power, they constantly give power to favoured social groups and avoid giving it to disfavoured groups (that'd be poorer white men in the big '26).
@CaravanWD@RobertRM1890@TrashKnight_0@funcle551 You live to serve society, not the other way around. They control everything that matters and we do not. We're in no position to be making demands. They'll take more from us simply because they know it can be done without any negative consequence.
@MentisWave It'll be the last 40 years of government-funded liberal thinktanks given a tonne of hard political power. An unholy combination of the EU, getup/actblue, Oxfam, pre-trump USaid and the council on foreign relations. It'd be the enemy of 95% of mankind, and for good reason...
@bizlet7 The technology and exploitation of wealth is distributed/enforced by the most powerful institutions mankind has EVER WITNESSED. You can't hand wave away anything with legions millions strong, literal trillions of dollars and weapons capable of vaporizing cities in seconds.
@zapatas_mom@WestsideLAGuy Because they don't need to. They'd rather get the milk for free from ten women than pay to get milk from one. Some of said top-tier men consider it a utopia: endless obligation free sex that's cheap, convenient and usually decent-quality.
@thtsallhewrote@WestsideLAGuy It's not a 'good' way per se, but it theoretically has some merits. it's scalable, has low opportunity costs and most importantly, has no social or legal risks that IRL approaches at work or in public places have. People use it because for many people, it is the only way...
@legomakers1 They're pussies because they have a lot to be afraid of. One of my mates got blackout drunk a few years ago and videos of it reached his boss, his GF, most of his extended family and his university. He lost his job, his GF and nearly got kicked out of univeristy too...
@EVILEVILPENIL I love @Daemon_Knight01 , but he's in the wrong here. it IS a supermajority when you include the intermediate group - people who are overweight but not obese. With them taken into account, ~65-70% of people are at least 'fat' in the classic sense.
@fred6279@dannycantalk@NomosEvents@run_guns Yes. ~2.9 million Brits opposed digital ID via a petition around this time last year and apparently that doesn't count. Meanwhile, about 8500 responses somehow determines government policy. We live in hell...
@BaneThe76451@AdrianP_doc It's a like a choice between burning to death or jumping into a woodchipper. The average Russian 'conservative' believes similar libtard brainrot to the average 2015 leftist. Russians still yap about muh nazis, muh imperialism, Russia is the actually diverse country blah blah...
@hideouslyugly@Aristotle7777 A bitter irony indeed, but those who believe these ideas think the pains of modernity are still a huge improvement over the pains of antiquity/tradition. The course can't be easily averted now...
@ConsoomerLs It's a simple but rather slimy negotiation tactic. They want you to spill the beans first. Too low and they'll use it as an easy out to underpay you, and too high and they'll instantly disqualify you from the candidate pool.
