National Centre for Biological Sciences (@NCBS_Bangalore) and DBT-inStem (@DBT_inStem), in collaboration with Trivedi School of BioSciences, Ashoka University (@TSB_Ashoka), hosted the 6th National Postdoctoral Symposium at Ashoka University (@AshokaUniv). The event was held from October 12th, 2023, to October 14th, 2023, with the captivating theme of 'Science and Society: Vision to Transition'.
This engaging event featured a diverse array of speakers, including experts from the realms of industry, academia, policy, and science communication. Each day was filled with enlightening talks by distinguished personalities, captivating flash talks from participants spanning various fields of biology, and interactive workshops covering topics such as career development, grant writing, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, each day of the symposium concluded with a thought-provoking panel discussion.
In addition to the intellectually stimulating sessions, participants took advantage of networking opportunities throughout the symposium, connecting with both their peers and the esteemed speakers.

#NPDS2023 also featured a flash talk competition, where we got to hear some exciting science from our selected participants ! @TSB_Ashoka@yadukrishprem spoke about "The role of anthocyanin pigments in developing seedlings and the genetic control of their accumulation".
@analkumar2 is using in-silico conductance-based models of CA1 pyramidal neurons to uncover the mechanisms behind Depolarization Baseline, an often overlooked electrophysiological feature. Both morphology and potassium channel kinetics play crucial roles among other factors.
