๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: This presentation will explore the hidden role brain injury plays in the lives of justice involved youth and why it so often goes undetected in behavioral health settings. Participants will learn how brain injury symptoms frequently mimic trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and behavioral disorders - leading clinicians and systems to misunderstand the youth sitting in front of them. The session will examine how brain injury changes the way youth process information, respond to stress, engage in therapy, and function within systems. Participants will leave with practical screening ideas, intervention adaptations, and a framework for shifting from "What's wrong with this youth?" to "What happened to this brain?".
