@stevemagness As a college professor, I catch cheating nearly every semester now from multiple students per semester. 10-15 years ago, I'd catch 1 maybe every 2-4 years.
@hkeysk8@steven_montoya Yes, I'm very lucky to work in the athletics dept that I work with. And actually, he doesn't even really need to enforce it. We all, as coaches, respect it and each other. Rarely does AD have to step in to enforce. I'm in a rare situation compared to most.
@steven_montoya Athletes cannot miss an in-season sport activity for an out of season sport activity. Out of season sports must accommodate to in-season sports. Applies to practices, meetings, tryouts, etc.
@CoachDistance I don't think that will capture the essence of 45/15. If you have runners in which 4:00 pace is their sub threshold pace, you have a super elite team!! You'd need something much shorter than 300m to have them truly hitting subT.
@tdoshea90@stevemagness Pretending to know physiology when you don't is crazy work. As a PhD professor who teaches physiology, I will say that one of you is right and the other is not but thinks you are.
@stevemagness We would travel with our kids to AAU or USATF Nationals mainly as just an excuse to have a family trip, with a race just thrown in the middle of it. My 2 older sons run in college now and still look back on those as some of their funnest memories of youth running.
@stevemagness We use the same. It's great for teaching athletes that life is full of ups and downs but if you stay consistent you'll have a fair bit of success in your endeavors.
@RasmusAhlin@stevemagness HIIT isn't a running workout. At least not in the sense of what Steve is saying or what running coaches think of as a workout. Think more like 6x 1K kind of workout.
@JJWatt I'll start by saying I HATE the Broncos. But this was clearly an INT. Ball never hit ground, receiver never finished catch to establish possession. Only BUF fans or those who don't fully understand possession rule (no hate, it's complicated) think it's catch and down by contact.
@jgault13 Comment section basically 2 crowds: unhappy Americans and non-Americans who are happy only because they're frustrated they don't have talent depth.
