NHTSA: "By successfully passing these new tests, the 2026 @Tesla Model Y demonstrates the lifesaving potential of driver assistance technologies and sets a high bar for the industry. We hope to see many more manufacturers develop vehicles that can meet these requirements.”
Tesla has launched a new Model 3 lineup in Canada, introducing the Model 3 Premium RWD starting at $39,490 CAD (that converts to just $29,000 USD!).
Tesla has also cut the Model 3 Performance price by 17% to $74,990 CAD (from $89,990).
The Model 3 Premium RWD trim is about 50% cheaper than the previously lowest-priced Model 3 Long Range ($79,990 CAD) in Canada, which has just been discontinued. The price to get into a Tesla just got a lot more affordable in Canada!
NEWS: A new study shows that EVs are cleaning up the air in dense urban areas.
Researchers used satellite data to see how much nitrogen dioxide was in California’s air. As the number of electric cars and plug-in hybrids rose, neighborhoods had lower NO₂ concentrations.
"These findings show that cleaner air isn't just a theory–it's already happening in communities across California," said Sandrah Eckel, Ph.D., associate professor of population and public health sciences at the Keck School of Medicine, and the study’s lead author. “We're not even fully there in terms of electrifying, but our research shows that California's transition to electric vehicles is already making measurable differences in the air we breathe," she added.
They also confirmed that neighborhoods that added more gas-powered cars saw a rise in pollution. Finally, the results from the satellite data was replicated using updated data from ground-level monitors from 2012 to 2023.
FYI: If you live in the U.S. and want to use the $7,500 federal EV credit, you must take delivery of an eligible EV by Sept 30, 2025 — simply placing an order by that date is not enough. Starting October 1, 2025, that $7,500 credit is officially & completely gone.
South Pasadena Police Department: “Tesla was not only a viable option, but it was the best option. We got a much better performing car that costs significantly less to maintain. Our admin fleet in the first year had absolutely no maintenance."
NEWS: In a new letter sent to Transport Canada, Tesla defended its participation in the federal iZEV incentive program and clarified that its recent $43 million in rebate claims were lawful, properly submitted, and fully compliant with the long-standing design of the program.
In the letter, signed by Fereshteh Zeineddin, Director of Sales & Service in Canada, Tesla clarifies that these incentives are not grants, but rather reimbursements to dealerships and automakers who advance the rebate to customers at the point of sale, acting as a facilitator of government rebates, not a beneficiary. Tesla noted that filing claims after the vehicle has been delivered is not just common practice—it is allowed under the program’s rules

This test proves that @MarkRober needs to redo his test using FSD. His first video was not a good experiment. He generated an estimated $125,000+ in ad revenue from that video. Mark also only used a HW3 car. Tesla has only been making HW4 cars for years now, which are much better. If you're going to use Luminar's latest tech, why not use Tesla's latest tech?
Elon already said HW3 owners who paid for FSD will be upgraded to HW4 for free in the future, so focusing on HW4 in the test makes sense.
Redo the test with HW4 cars on FSD for a fair "self-driving" test.
NEWS: Redwood Materials recycled a record 20 GWh of batteries in 2024.
That’s nearly double the amount of battery energy storage Tesla deployed in all of Q4 2024.
BREAKING: @Tesla has brought the 0% interest financing offer to Canada for the Model 3 and Model Y.
Like the original offer in the US, you must purchase FSD to get the promotional rate.
0% is only available on terms up to 48 months, and you must take delivery before January 1, 2025.
Tesla sources 44% more of its Cybertruck parts from the U.S. & Canada than Ford does for its gas-powered F-150, and more than 2.2x as much as the F-150 Lightning EV.
Most people might say the Ford F-150 is the most American-made vehicle, but it doesn’t even make the top 50.
The Cybertruck ranks as the most American-made full-size pickup truck, with 65% of its parts from the U.S. and Canada. In comparison, the gas-powered F-150 contains only 45% US/Canadian parts, while the Lightning F-150 EV has just 29%.
