Ruchika Singh and her family have been on the run since her abusive video went viral. Now an FIR too has been registered against her under Sec 352, 353(1), and 356(1).

People her age would do well to learn a fundamental lesson from this. Crowd dynamics can grant a false sense of empowerment, making it easy to break the law when surrounded by a cheering audience, but the consequences are borne individually. So always think carefully before letting impulse take over.

Was a fleeting moment of applause from a small crowd worth risking a future? In my view, she needs psychiatric counseling far more than a legal action. But regardless of what I think, the consequences are here, and I’m sure she’s finally realizing the true cost of those few moments of clout.

In the summer of 1980, a distraught 7th grade boy stood in the courtyard of a modest house in Mylapore, watching his father toss his cricket bat down a deep well. He had a single question in his mind: "We can test that a foreign chip does what we WANT it to do. But can we guarantee it does not do something we DO NOT want it to do when a war starts?"

He proposed building a completely indigenous, industrial-grade microprocessor from scratch. Global tech giants insisted it could not be done w/o billions of dollars in infrastructure & massive foreign patents.

He did not care. Working out of cramped labs on long shifts, he & his team adopted the open source RISC-V instruction set. They hand-coded logic gates, mapped silicon layouts & verified billions of instruction cycles.

In July 2018, a tiny 16mm² piece of silicon codenamed Risecreek arrived back at the lab. The team wired it up, flipped the switch & watched a flickering monitor as the Linux operating system booted on 100% Indian-designed silicon for the 1st time in history.

Today, his SHAKTI processor architecture powers everything from defense communications to space grade controllers built in collaboration with ISRO.

A daycare employee at Capgemini's Bengaluru campus couldn't bear the abuse of the kids at the centre.

In the videos, toddlers were made to sit inside the drum of a front-loading washing machine, had water sprayed into their mouths using a toilet jet spray, were locked inside bathrooms, and were forced into narrow, water-filled pipes to frighten them. Today, according to media reports, the police have arrested the whistleblower only for allegedly "leaking sensitive videos." Lol! What a system! A poor woman with a clear conscience stood up to the powerful and went public, not for personal gain or with any malicious intent, but solely to protect those children.
