We are deeply saddened to share that renowned mathematician Richard A. Tapia has passed away at 87. Tapia made legendary achievements in mathematics and was a fierce advocate for underrepresented groups in STEM. His legacy will continue to inspire others for years to come.

This past Wednesday, our inSTEM Scholars from the University of Texas at Arlington had a social at the Dallas Mavericks vs. Atlanta Hawks game. Scholars had fun as they joined to watch the game and even took turns shooting free throws once the game was over!
