The Sydney Opera House was the office today for Principals from the Glenfield and Chipping Norton networks. Creative pedagogies were the focus, opportunities for collaboration were explored, and educational experiences available for our students celebrated! A stellar day!
What day day! @NOII_NSW_Aust Symposium never disappoints. So much to think about. Feeling PROUD to be an educator & PROUD of my colleagues. The work we do matters! #NOII@CMassey_Edu@CarolineThiele1
Wonderful collaboration as the 3rd Chipping Norton/Cowpasture/Glenfield Aspiring Principal Program began this afternoon. Developing individual SIP and PDP informed theories of action to drive our improvement work. @k_rigas@dace_elletson@MSiokos
Great start to our Learning from Country classes at Sydney Uni for teacher Ed students with the deadly Aunty Tracey Cameron, Julie Welsh & @kylielcaptain yarning up a storm and challenging our thinking. #USyd_SSESW
As I prepare for term 3 I’m reflecting on our staff. We have new staff starting & some in acting positions. I will check in & support, but I will remind them to ask for help if they need it.
Asking for help is often perceived as weakness, however I see it as strength.
Congratulations @lizrudder01 on your first Principal position. In Oyster Bay PS style - the clap out is always to farewell the best! While it is part of my job - losing you and @Mat_Egan in the last 12 months is harsh! Glad to continue our work as colleagues❤️
Congratulations to Dr @cathieburgo and Team who won the 2023 Colin Marsh Award for their article, ‘‘Learning from Country to conceptualise what an Aboriginal curriculum narrative might look like in education”. Learn more in our next online masterclass 👇

A lovely chat this arvo with teacher mentors and beginning teachers. SRHS’s goal is to help beginning teachers refine and develop their teaching practice. We have a consistent vision of continual school improvement through programs for staff and students. 👏
Today marks exactly 40 years since this gentleman started working at Lurnea High School. What a celebration - students, staff and the community joined together to acknowledge Jim, and his indelible contribution to the community and Public Education! Congratulations!
