Reading Holmes’s The Boundless Deep this year has been rather inspiring. The “medieval chivalric world of Keats’s ballad ‘La Belle Dame sans Merci’” paired with Tennyson’s Arthurian “The Lady of Shalott” influenced a fair bit of new writing, some to be published later this year.
