Scotland’s Marine P̵r̵o̵t̵e̵c̵t̵e̵d̵ Areas
60% of Marine Protected Areas (19 of 32) designated in 2014 still have no protections from scallop dredging and bottom-trawling, fishing methods that scrape the seabed.
We want to protect our seabeds to create sustainable futures for all, including those who rely on healthy fish populations.

Today @N_T_S signed a joint statement supporting the Scottish and UK Governments' decision to end industrial fishing for sandeels. Sandeels are a critical source of food for Scotland's seabirds and it's vital this closure goes ahead 🐟🪶👉https://t.co/JUKiLvkytP
