NUMEC EMBARKS ON PROMOTING HEALTHY BEHAVIORAL CHANGE THROUGH SPORTS.
Northern Uganda Media Club (NUMEC) has embarked on using sports as a means of promoting healthy behavioral change among media practitioners.
According to team captain Ivan Tolit, a news reporter with Mega FM in Gulu City, the initiative is not only strengthening relationships between the media and other stakeholders but also promoting healthy lifestyles among journalists in the region.

From the 2nd day to the 3rd day, our community media ambassadors were equipped on key topics:
✔️Planning & framing stories for effective advocacy
✔️Digital safety, threat assessment & mitigation strategies
✔️Producing powerful audiovisual stories that inspire social impact
Trained, skilled & ready to work!
On the final day, 15 community media ambassadors completed a 3-day training on telling stories of marginalised groups using digital platforms. Our facilitator from @DiploBrief emphasized localising global issues @MegafmGulu@ACME_Africa@ajws
Our fantastic trainer from @DiploBrief also urged trainees to apply their newly acquired digital skills by collaborating together to amplify marginalised voices.
