@anyaparampil You failed to mention Safed was a historically mixed city - roughly equally between Jews and Muslims. Is it possible that Jews took in more Jews, and not only "Palestinians"?
@MrWiedman It clearly says Palestine OR the holy land. Westerners revived the name Palestine in the 1800s, thanks to Napoleons exploits. Easterners and locals, however , often referred to it as the holy land.
@_ZachFoster@AviMayer Throwing genocide around like it means nothing degrades the term and all the populations in History who have actually lived one. It's not a genocide until the UN has weighed the evidence for intent and declared it so. 1 million Armenians could barely get the attribution.
@_ZachFoster Serious question. Since the Torah, new testament and Quran all speak of Jews returning to Israel, are you either: a Jew who only enjoys Jewish food or a Jew who believes the return must be divine? If it's the latter, are you then ok with ethnic cleansing as long as it's divine?
@_ZachFoster Hmm. You know evangelical Christians are also Zionists, part of the original lobbying, big donors, believing a return to Israel for the Jews is one step in the plan in the return of Jesus.
Has an evangelical Christian ever been attacked in the name of antizionism?
@21WIRE A genocide? 6,500 Palestinians were killed from 2008 to 2023. The population went from 2 million in 2000 to 5million in 2023. I think calling this a genocide dishonors populations that have actually faced genocide.
@AvberEth@jacksonhinkle@piersmorgan Why did Palestinians vote Hamas and PLO instead of Third Party in 2006? The people you elect to office represent you.
@DrLoupis Nope. They offered a decently good peace plan in 2000, among other times, Arafat said no to everything . In 2006, when Israel disengaged, there was an peaceful, non-corrupt party - the Third Party, which presented itself, but Palestinians elected Hamas.
@jakeshieldsajj Maybe they should have chosen the guy with a PhD in economics to run the country instead of voting for the one with a BA in Literature.
