Our fisheries officers have boosted the populations of dace, chub and roach in Greater #Manchester as 4,000 fish have been released into the River Tame.
The fish were released at two locations in the river, near Hyde.

The team have had a brilliant time over the past 2 days stocking the River Dane 🎣
We have introduced thousands of Roach, Chub, Dace and Barbel into several stretches of the River boosting fish stocks,
1/3 Our officers are on site today investigating a suspected pollution incident near the River Weaver, Nantwich.
After careful consideration we are disappointed to cancel the planned fish stocking of the River Weaver at this time due to the suspected pollution.
2/3 We will work closesly with the local angling club to produce a plan going forward.
The health of fish and their environments remains our priority and anyone who suspects pollution or other incidents in rivers and other waterways should contact the
