Northwest Volunteer Fire Department is a paid/volunteer fire department responsible for fire and rescue operations for 22 square miles in Harris County.
Units are working a house fire in the 3100 block of Wheat in the Yale Gardens Community. One adult male victim was found alive and transported to the hospital in critical condition. The @hcfmo is on scene to investigate the fire.
A burn ban is now in place for unincorporated areas of Harris County. This ban was officially approved during today's Commissioner's Court meeting. There are 120 counties in Texas under a burn ban, including our neighboring counties of Waller and Liberty. https://t.co/8s3VSxXmGL
I would like thank the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department for supporting our SWAT operation yesterday by providing tents, water and traffic control. 🥵🔥💦🚦
The scene started as a welfare check and the subject ended up pointing a deadline weapon at a fireman. Fireman put their lives on the line daily and should not have to worry about bad guys too! Our hat is off to you guys! 🇺🇸
@HCSOSWAT assisted @Pct1Constable with a barricaded subject near the 2600 block of Hawthorn Mill Ln in North Harris County. The suspect had an open felony warrant and threatened a firefighter with a deadly weapon. After chemical munitions were unsuccessful, SWAT entered the home and located the suspect who was still armed. K9 TREX made contact with him and he was taken into custody. The suspect sustained minor injuries and everyone went home safe! The suspect will face additional felony charges. #HouNews
