I’m just going to say it. I don’t like the Malachi Fields pick. I hope i’m wrong but he’s not fast, slow off the line, not really great in the short game because he can’t separate, and his route running is not great either. What am I missing here? I know everyone wants to be excited about the draft picks, but it’s okay to not agree with every draft pick #Giants

He’s wayyyy too slow and can’t tackle. To me he shouldn’t even be a depth piece. Flannigan Fowles we had halfway through last year and was on 49ers practice squad and was significantly better than him. That should be an indicator right there that he’s not up to snuff with the competition

The team was rebuilding regardless. If you look at this roster and think it’s ready for a push this upcoming year idk what to tell you. 2027 they have 95 mil in cap space. That’s a lot they can play around with to help Dart. Also Harbaugh hasn’t even had a draft yet. Give it time. What if we get Downs and he’s a top 3 safety in the league with a lot of takeaways? What if Dex goes to Bengals and just falls off a cliff? We don’t know yet

Why would they extend him on a down year and injury year? If it was about money they offered him money. And if he came back and played well he would’ve gotten paid more too. He could’ve really gotten the payday he wanted. Dex made every excuse in the media, first it was the money, then it was his teammates released, then the losing franchise. He flat out didn’t want to be here any more. And that’s fine but why are we freaking out over this again if he didn’t want to be here. He wouldn’t be motivated and wouldn’t be excited to play to play for us

The Giants did try to keep him. They offered the number he got from the bengals and he said no. Dex’s agent wouldn’t even let Dex speak to John Harbaugh after the trade request. Doesn’t matter how much he helps the team at that point if he didn’t want to be here he didn’t want to be here. Doesn’t matter what raise he wants if he won’t even speak to us. He was mad about not getting an extension when he still had 3 years left on his contract. And then didn’t show up motivated either. I get his production but can’t kick and scream at this point what’s done is done

John Harbaugh does not want Giants who don't want to be Giants. The coach tried to make it work with Dexter Lawrence & w/ Dawn Aponte spoke directly with agent Joel Segal. It wasn't to be. To get the 10th pick for an unhappy player coming off a down year--that's a helluva deal.
