Wrapping up earth month. NYPD highlighted efforts to green our commands with the launch of a new green infrastructure maintenance contract. @NYCParks@nycgov@NYCMayorsOffice 🌎🌾
This morning, I had the honor of promoting Officer Sumit Sulan to the rank of detective as I spoke to the @nycpolicefdtn. Like Detectives Mora & Rivera, Sumit’s actions were heroic that fateful night. He was presented shield #332 — symbolizing three brothers from the @NYPD32Pct.
Officer Wilbert Mora was the first in his family to join a profession that asks courageous men & women to leave their loved ones to protect someone else's — just as Wilbert and Jason did when they sacrificed their lives. It’s my honor to promote Wilbert to Detective First Grade.
We mourn the loss of Police Officer Wilbert Mora. At 27-years-old, he was murdered in the line of duty, fighting until his last minute with us. We vow to never forget Wilbert and will always honor his legacy of service and ultimate sacrifice. #FidelisAdMortem@NYPD32Pct
NYPD FMD recently completed a landscaping project at @NYPD121Pct . Work included removing invasive weeds, cleaning bioswales, and mulching provided by @nycparks with help city cleanup corps @nycgov@jccgci
Registration for the NYPD Traffic Enforcement Agent test is now open. Help to keep pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers safe in New York City. Check https://t.co/XIB5odIMCL for more information.
A reminder that #DaylightSavingsTime ends this weekend. At 2 a.m., early Sunday morning, clocks will turn back to 1 a.m. If you are driving next week, pay special attention as it will get darker earlier in the day.
Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo was murdered 5 years ago by a career criminal & domestic abuser who’d terrorized a family for several hours. Paul left behind his wife, 2 small boys, & a legacy of service that will forever live on.
We will #neverforget Paul or his sacrifice.

NYPD City Clean Up Corps and NYPD members teamed up with NYC Parks to mulch street trees around the NYPD Police Academy. @JCCGCI@NYCParks@NYCHRA
Proper mulching will result in healthier more beautiful and beneficial trees. 🌲🌳☀️
Today we broke ground for the 116th Precinct station house in Queens. When completed, this new precinct will make it easier for the NYPD to serve the residents of this community.
The NYPD family is grieving today as we announce the passing of Officer Leonardo Chavez, whose battle w/ #COVID ended yesterday.
Leonardo, his loved ones, & colleagues are forever in our prayers. His 21 years of service & dedication to the people of NYC will never be forgotten.
