Today we display an inscription from the Peace Officers Memorial, that depicts the sacrifice he made while preforming his heroic actions. We also honor his life with two bouquets of flowers, and a candle thatโs will remain lit to represent he is not forgotten. RIP Albert ๐.
Today, is the 46th anniversary of the death of Court Officer Albert Gelb. CO Albert Gelb was assassinated as retaliation for making an off-duty arrest for gun possession in a restaurant.
A plaque is displayed in the lobby of Kings Criminal Court in honor of Officer Gelb.
The NYSCOA is again saddened to learn the passing of the second brave NYPD Officer who was shot on Friday. We continue to keep Officer Moraโs friends, family, and the entire NYPD especially the Officers from the 32 pct. in our thoughts and prayers.

Tonight marks the beginning of Hanukah. The lighting of candles for 8 consecutive nights signifies the reconsecration of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, with the Light of a candle that continued to burn in the Temple for 8 nights. We wish everyone a happy and healthy Hanukah.
