@Tiare_MP Hmm I find most people except the crazy right support more trains (but of course not enough to actually demand it at the ballot box) but more people definitely does.
@KiwiCraig74@urbanistfromwhk I went there once a few weeks ago. It was okay but prices were about the same as the Ponsonby Rd ice cream places. Not sure they'll be able to sustain.
@nzsd@FrankMcRae@lachlanp_ If I was a party member in Wellington I'd be making a complaint as they are flagrantly breaching the Labour policy platform, which I believe is still binding on local govt members.
@zhuoyanakl@rustie5555 I'm a semi-frequent of Auckland-Whangarei buses. They are always pretty much full, even when the fare is upwards of $40. But the biggest problem is only 3-4 services per day. An hourly daytime frequency would be a great improvement and not an unrealistic ask IMO.
@zhuoyanakl@rustie5555 A much improved intercity bus service makes a lot of sense for routes like Auckland-Whangarei, Kerikeri; Hamilton-Rotorua, Taupo, Napier etc.
A bad idea for Auckland - Hamilton - Tauranga which has a near perfect rail corridor and more than enough population for a good train.
