This weekend I ran the Rotorua 10km with my 13yo.

Following my hip surgery was 6 months of "no non-essential walking" (3 on crutches). Followed by 3 weeks of walking + finally 5 weeks of running.

It's been an 8-month rehab journey but that sprint finish was worth every second.

@James_BFP Our next 8 games couldn’t be much tougher. But we have an excellent coach + great squad, on the back of a smart Jan window. One things for sure, if we make the playoffs from here, it will be cos we’re now a v.good side. Excited to see where we land, but realistic. Big challenge.

Great to be back at Adams Park yesterday. Back on the plane today to warmer climes (might not need 3 coats - I’m getting soft… or is it, old?) ✈️ Would have loved to see a Fink winner… My take away? Anders Hagelskjær is some player! 😳🇩🇰

I’ll be back in the UK next week - sadly, for my mum’s funeral. A tough reason to be home after a horrid year, but a chance to say goodbye and raise a glass.

Only 5 days on terra firma, but grateful the final day of my trip coincides with @wwfcofficial v Cardiff at Adams Park.
