Infrastructure failure IS coming this winter and the government is panicking big time
There’s a number of recent events which are telling signs
These“suggestions” from ministers to stockpile essentials are not hollow words. They’re trying to get people prepared with causing major panic
The decision to grant a licence for the Jackdaw gas field and go against Labour’s net zero policy is extremely telling. This decision isn’t about this winter, as the gas won’t be flowing by then, this is to try and convince the electorate that the government has learnt its lesson and next winter it’ll be different
Also, they’re already started to look to blame others. The government has known for months that our gas supplies won’t last long enough should we have a severe winter, but they’ve buried their heads in the sand. When the power cuts come it’ll be the fault of Russia or Iran or some other perceived enemy, not the fault of horrendous policy decisions by consecutive Conservative and Labour governments
It’s time to buckle up and hold on, because the UK is in for one hell of a ride this winter
Bournemouth fans boasting about how they're playing AC Milan exactly 15 years after playing Bury. That's nothing ... Pompey played Bury four years after playing AC Milan. (In fact it was 17 days less than four years). So there.
Getting blown up by a Russian drone to protect my beautiful nation of privatised water companies, boarded up shops, cracked paving, and political-media class who think I’m a racist because I oppose a genocide.
No thanks mate.
