Thoroughly enjoyed being part of this conversation about cultural awareness in psychology practice! Thank you @Afsana_PhD and Kate for thinking outside the box :)
I’m looking for resources/ initiatives that provide support for grief, loss and bereavement. Who is doing this work currently? How can we help communities coping when all this is happening in isolation?
Feeling poorly this morning😢Nonetheless,I wanted to share that I received a #DISTINCTION for my MA research👇🏾🥳#thanksamillion to those young #BAME#counsellors who participated & those who supported me! I hope sumbit an article for @BACP Therapy Today inOctober #watchthisspace
My latest piece for @BABCP CBT Today magazine.
I wrote this piece a while ago and titled it, 'Deeds not words.' Why? Because we need to move beyond just talking when it comes to BAME #mentalhealth.
Also timed well for the unveiling of @OurEmmeline statue in #Manchester ! 🤣
Caring more about looking happy on social media, than actually being happy in real life might just be the greatest mistake our generation continue to make.
My first ever podcast episode! I talk about the importance of emotional expression, how therapy can help and share some of my own story #woundedhealer Listen online: https://t.co/aInRmnMfqg
@julie_a_b_ I’m not sure of the conversations your referring to but I agree it’s a very complex topic for Twitter. But unfortunately it’s not bizarre for ‘BAME’ experiences to be discounted by non-BAME individuals. So many blind spots #sadstory
