I am happy to announce that our Ma-Mati-Manush government has delivered on its promise to all its employees and pensioners, and to lakhs of teachers and non-teaching staff of our educational institutions, as well as employees/ pensioners of our other grant-in-aid instititions like panchayats, municipal bodies, other local bodies etc.

They will start receiving their ROPA 2009 DA arrears from March 2026 onwards as per the modalities detailed out in the Notifications issued by our Finance Department.

I am pleased to announce an increase of ₹500 in the monthly honorariums extended to our purohits and muezzins, whose service sustains the spiritual and social life of our communities. With this revision, they will now receive ₹2,000 per month.

At the same time, all fresh applications that have been duly submitted by purohits and muezzins have also been approved by the State Government.

We take pride in nurturing an environment where every community and every tradition is valued and strengthened. Our endeavour remains to ensure that the custodians of our rich spiritual heritage receive the recognition and support they deserve.

Since the Political Tourist @narendramodi is once again “gracing” Bengal with his presence today, here are five questions we know he doesn’t have the guts to answer:

❓ After deleting 63 lakh names, putting 60 lakh more under adjudication, and claiming nearly 200 innocent lives, how many Bangladeshis and Rohingyas have actually been detected through SIR?

❓ After promising to be the “Vishwaguru”, why are poor and vulnerable families going without food due to uncontrolled LPG price hikes and a crippling supply crisis? Why were no strategic reserves created despite global volatility?

❓ Why has Bengal’s rightful share of funds, to the tune of ₹1.96 lakh crore, been deliberately withheld by the Centre? And why has his Government failed to resume MGNREGA in Bengal despite the Supreme Court’s explicit order?

❓ Why are Bengali migrant workers being profiled, harassed, detained, deported, and mercilessly lynched in BJP-ruled states simply for speaking their mother tongue?

❓ Why have BJP leaders, including Mr. Modi himself, repeatedly insulted Bengal’s revered cultural and spiritual icons whom we hold in the highest esteem?
