Young boys are generally more chill about (ex:) picking up bugs and frogs, then the girl is conditioned to only seek male companions. @cinemattie Ateotd I do see where you’re coming from. The film is done in a way that the message will be interpreted, not taught. Anyone well aware of these dynamics will get it, and anyone unaware, primarily men, will continue to see Bear as a victim of the situation, not of himself.
