Alhamdulillah.
We successfully renovated 2 schools in Northern Nigeria, restoring 4 blocks of classrooms, toilets and providing new chairs and books for the students.
Every child deserves a safe place to learn and dream. This is more than a renovation it’s an investment in the future.
May Allah accept it and make it beneficial for generations to come. Ameen.

‘Rabuwar mu da ita sai goben da bata da gobe.’
Hamisu Breaker (Ba Yanzu Ba)
When I first listened to this song, I tried translating it into English as a poet who writes in English. Then I realized that the translation was nothing more than a poor imitation of the original, the words came across, but the poetry was lost.
‘Kalmar so tana nufin abinda zuciya ta so
Amma a nawa bangaran rai ne da rayuwa
So ne lagwan mutane biyu inda shakuwa
Mai kama dan adam da aljan da beguwa
Domin mu gane so sai mun kara nutsuwa’
Hamisu Breaker (Kalmar So)
I’m not even sure I’ve quoted the most sophisticated line in the song, but this is Breaker’s most philosophical song about love.
Every line, every stanza, makes you pause and reflect on what love truly is.
‘Abincin idaniya, kallon ka ne
Karfin ji na kunnuwa sauraron ka ne
Natsuwa ta zuciya, samun ka ne
Garkuwan cikin jiki, kusantar ka ne’
—Shamsiyya Sadi (Gangar So)
I love this stanza because Shamsiyya captures the very channels through which love lingers in us and makes it difficult to let go of someone we truly love: the eyes, the ears, and the heart; then again, the skin, the touch, the fire.
She understands that love is not held by the heart alone, it lives in every part of us.
This event should have been deferred. This is the height of insensitivity. I am even more ashamed that it is coming from the Mother of the Nation, at a time when countless mothers are agonising over children still in captivity. By any measure, this is wrong.
Many congregants in front rows here obviously had different intentions than simply observing Eid. Basic prayer etiquettes were barely observed, defeating the purpose of the Nafilah. While some intentionally turned with suspicious glances, others carelessly stood out of line 🤗
