Zulfikar Bukhari, international relations adviser to Imran Khan, says he fears further state backlash against a protest march planned by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, the party of Pakistan's jailed former PM Imran Khan.

Pakistani security have in the past 24 hours arrested and detained Khan's sisters for 30 days as well as raiding properties of other family members.

Once again #Pakistan has attacked #Afghanistan killing civilians. This attack takes place as Pakistan's internal crises intensify. Clearly, the current Pakistani approach to deal with internal crises and relations with Afghanistan is not working. More of the same is not the solution. When one is in a hole, the smart thing to do is to stop digging. Pakistan needs a change in strategy on dealing with key internal crises and on Afghanistan. I remain doubtful that the current leadership will change strategy. The current approach means more bad news for Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Minister Shakoor was reportedly leaving the MPA Hostel for a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House when the men stopped him and took him away.

The reported abduction happened in broad daylight, in front of the Corps Commander House.
