Still crazy to me that in 2015 Miliband lost the general election & quit as Labour leader; then Burnham went from frontrunner to loser in the Labour leadership election to succeed him.
And yet 11 years later here they are at the UN as Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary.
Now thatβs a comeback. Lesson? Donβt write people off! And if a week is a long time in politics, 11 years is an eternity!
@aswren As a Sri Lankan Muslim living in Manchester, I agree wholeheartedly, it was a despicable act of cowardice and I physically feel sick when I see the memorial, the perpetrators and anyone that aided and abetted them in any way must be hung!
A country that went bankrupt just four years ago is now helping another country with millions. Sri Lanka canπ±π°
From crisis to recovery, what a journey.
@burnleybuses Hi, my X43 didn't enter the motorway after the stop at the Premier Inn in Prestwich, what's going on? It's taking a lot time, my app shows no disruptions.
It's especially bizarre because the actual hardware costs like LKR 7000 per unit.
But if the govt does get around to this, expect each unit to magically cost like a million rupees and only rolled out to a 100-bus pilot
@OxfordUnion It is interesting how the Union backs free speech when it comes to this case but shut down @RajapaksaNamal 's address due to pressure from the Diaspora!
Rule for thee but not for me?
I guess the @OxfordUnion only cares about free speech when it suits them.
βNo legal team was seen appearing for the child victimβ
The state is prosecuting
The Police made the arrest
And this will follow through with the AG leading the prosecution
NPP has given us a very good example of why people should never gain power through lies. Once those lies are exposed, their power declines rapidly.
It is far better to tell the truth and face defeat than to be exposed and embarrassed later.
The only thing keeping the NPP from completely gaslighting us are the statements given when AKD was just an MP π€£
Power is the best thing you can give a critic!
