Meet Behenji Mayawati, India's most privileged victim.
She demands more reservations. She calls anyone questioning them anti-national. She claims the system has failed Dalits. What she never mentions is her own story.
Her grandfather, Mangal Sen, was a soldier in the British Indian Army. This was an elite job for Indians of the early 20th century. When most Indians did not have guaranteed food on the table, less than 1% were fortunate enough to hold such a position. It came with a fixed government salary, a pension, and land. At a time when most Indians were doing unpaid manual labor with zero rights, Mangal Sen had financial stability that most Indians, upper caste or Dalit, could only dream of. That salary, pension and land put the Das family on a completely different trajectory from 99% of Dalits of that era.
His son Prabhu Das became a government employee in the postal department through SC reservation. Stable income. Government benefits. His children received free education through reservation schemes. Three generations of state support, stacked one on top of the other.
His daughter Mayawati used reservation to advance through education and politics. She became UP CM four times. She accumulated personal assets worth over Rs 111 crore(official). By any measure, she is the single greatest hijacker of the reservation system in Indian history.
And yet she stands at podiums telling you the system has failed and she wants more.
She justifies reservation by screaming that economical policies for the poor are ineffective. What she doesn't tell you is that such policies are ineffective precisely because of her and her ilk. She herself gulped down budget of 1000s of crores for economic policies, yet 30% of her own Dalit community is below the poverty line.
Now she fights tooth and nail against economic reservations for poor GC families. People who never had a soldier grandfather with land and a pension. Never had a government job father. Never had reservation benefits stacked across three generations. Families genuinely starting from zero. She wants them to remain downtrodden and suffer while she and her ilk continue to capture everything meant for downtrodden.
Her argument is that caste discrimination justifies continued reservation. Then answer this one question. After three generations of your own family benefiting, grandfather with army salary, pension and land, father in government through reservation, daughter as four-time Chief Minister with Rs 111 crore in assets, at what point exactly does your family step aside and let the actual poor and downtrodden in?
Reservations were designed as a temporary corrective measure. They were never meant to be a permanent inheritance system for the same families across generations. Mayawati is not the face of reservation's failure. She is the face of exactly who captured it. In fact, reservations passing down the line for generations is exactly what discriminatory Caste System is all about.
The Dalit still doing manual labor in a UP village today holds the same SC certificate as Mayawati. He just doesn't have her grandfather's land, pension and army salary to stand on. He simply doesn't have resources to compete with likes of her for that seat.
She wants her family and similar elite families to continue enjoying reservations while poor GCs and Dalits are starving. Worse, she wants to deny these previlges to poor GCs who never had such luck in their entire generation.
A very disturbing video has emerged from Bengal's Malda whereas it's seen students are fighting violently with a female teacher. Police has initiated probe.
Most MBBS and even MDs, except radiologists, neurologists, and a few more, struggle to read a CT or MRI confidently.
But Shri Chandra Shekhar Aazad is a man of many talents. Look at the confidence with which he's juggling the film as if an art critic is admiring abstract expressionism under bad lighting.
Kanu believed she saw God in good people. She said it sincerely, lived it sincerely. That was her lens for this world.
She helped without being asked. She cared without conditions. She never made you feel like a burden. She just showed up, every single time, with warmth and grace that felt almost otherworldly.
What haunts me now is learning she was facing serious medical issues all this while. And she never once expressed it. Not a word. She was quietly going through something enormous and yet here she was, showing up for others. That is the kind of soul she was.
I am ashamed to admit I did not value her more. Did not pay more attention. Did not ask enough. And now that chance is gone forever. That guilt sits heavy.
Life is so temporary. So fragile. We scroll past people every day who are holding entire storms inside them, still choosing to show up with love.
Hold the people who matter. Tell them. Now. Not later.
Kanu taught me that. I just learned it too late.
Rest in peace, beautiful soul. 🙏
@GVStudios_TV Destroying artifacts does nothing but erase history.
This is exactly what the Taliban did with priceless Buddhist sculptures. God’s temple is built in the heart, so destroying physical things is just political theater that accomplishes little to nothing.
In India, Hinduism is framed as regressive and Buddhism as progressive.
In South Korea, Buddhism is framed as regressive and Christianity as progressive.
Different narratives, same beneficiary: Christianity
While restoring a nearly 500-year-old stepwell in Patna, our team uncovered this unusual geometric stone pattern buried beneath the soil.
It appears to be a deliberate architectural design, but what exactly is it? A map, a traditional geometric/ritual pattern, a water-management layout, or something else?
We’re looking for historians, archaeologists and architecture experts to help us identify it.
What do you think we’ve discovered?
Bravo!! She’s back and back with another absolute banger on the ongoing reservation protests.
1.8 MILLION followers is no small feat.
That kind of reach means she’s influencing an entire generation of young minds.
I DO NOT SUPPORT RESERVATION
Today I learned that one of my most cherished supporters, Kanu, is no longer with us.
She was kind beyond measure. Honest. Loyal. The kind of person who stood by you without ever asking for anything in return. She was my greatest support here, always present, always warm.
Kanu was genuinely one of a kind. In a space where people often say what sounds good, she said what was true. Her honesty was never harsh, it was caring. Her kindness was never performative, it was just who she was. She showed up for people quietly, consistently, without fanfare. That is rare. That is real.
I am devastated. And I know I am not alone in this. Several of our mutual friends here are hurting too. She touched more lives than she probably ever knew.
What breaks me most is that I never found the right words to tell her what she truly meant to us. I regret that deeply.
Kanu, you will always be remembered. Always.
Rest in peace. 🙏
Hello. This is Aura's son. Unfortunately she has past away after dealing with medical issues for the past week or so.
She found a sense of community through X, so I feel it is appropriate to send this message.
Her body is now now at peace and her soul will live on 🙏
