TIL that in the mid-1960s, Kanchi Paramacharya realized that the study of the Atharvaveda was dying out in South India. To save it, he sent young students to study directly under Shri Ramnik Lal Pancholi, a rare Atharvaveda expert who taught in the traditional way in Sinor Village, Gujarat. These students later trained hundreds of others.
