On the other hand, Tories and Labour just constantly go on about more private housing supply. So the campaign is actively harmful in trying to solve the housing crisis

Nor will letting them get away with worse developments.

So no, I don't want more profit-driven poor quality development. I want social housing.

Council housing was and still is intended for anyone who isn't a homeowner (with some restrictions on how long you have lived somewhere etc). The problem is now supply of council housing is so low that they can only allocate it to those most in need.
