Chasing dreams across continents, one step closer to the dream I’ve always believed in 🇳🇿.
Proud to represent Afghan girls on an international stage and to wear my country’s colors with pride 🇦🇫.
Grateful for the experience, the journey, and everyone who made it possible.
Two years ago the team that buried their uniforms and trophies due to the risk to their lives, today are scoring goals and winning games in the home of Matildas. Congratulations 🎊 Team Afghanistan 🇦🇫/sisters for the promotion in the league. Thank you @gomvfc family for being the home & family for our players. @AfghanWnt #UnbreakableTogether
Since the arrival of our players to the UK 🇬🇧 football always welcomed and open their arms of love and kindness to them. Thank you @AmnestyUK for organizing the friendly game we always love and enjoy scoring goals against MP’s team #worldrefugeeday2023
Today we celebrate the refugee week with the parliament team and we had an opportunity to talk with the parliament members. It was a great day for us and thank you so much for having us in the parliament square. @AM_HC@khalida_popal@Malala@UKWPFC@NajmaArefi
It was also great to have the players of the @AfghanWnt visit today, to meet MPs and tell their stories. They’re an incredible group of women, and it was great to hear about what they’ve been up to since I hosted them last year!
As the Taliban erases women from all public life, the Afghan women’s football team remains a symbol of courage and resistance for their country.
That is why I joined @khalida_popal and 100+ parliamentarians from the UK, Australia, Portugal and Italy to send a letter to FIFA asking them to push back against restrictions and allow Afghan women the freedom to play football. https://t.co/Gxp6bZapDz
Congratulations 🎊 to our young leaders on successfully finishing 6months course of Leadership &coaching with @AmnestyUK supported by @EnglandFootball FA and funded by @UEFAfootball foundation #OwnYourPower
Well done @fatiyousufi keep up the good work. stay strong your voice matters and it represents the voices of so many people, especially young people. Representation and diversity are needed in decision-making and at all governing levels and everywhere.
@Sham_Kohestani Kohi sahib, why don't you prove to us that they are purposely left behind. it's almost two years since we are in the UK. you were aware and those girls in Afghanistan were aware of this. WHY now? I have seen your msgs requesting for Ur family. At that time you didn't think, right?
We are really concerned by yesterday's Newsnight story about Afghan female football players in the UK. The accusations have been directly rejected by the footballers themselves, and the fact that many girls were named without their consent has put them at potential risk. (1/5)
