Honored to participate in yesterday’s historic meeting between President Trump and President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon. The Trilateral Framework is a landmark achievement that offers new hope for the Lebanese people and the whole region, and an opportunity for peace and prosperity under President Trump’s leadership.

The United Arab Emirates decision to lift the travel ban on Lebanon deserves our sincere appreciation. It is more than an administrative measure; it is a sign of confidence in a State that has regained control of its political and security decision making, and clear evidence that Lebanon is steadily moving in the right direction.
The more the State strengthens its presence, consolidates its sovereignty, and advances on the path of stability and reform, the more it rallies the support of its Arab brothers and international partners. Countries are once again opening up to Lebanon with confidence, convinced that the country’s future can only be built on a strong State and one national decision-making authority.

The U.S. is proud to be a part of today's historic trilateral framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
There is more work to be done, but we're taking meaningful steps toward a future of peace, prosperity, and mutual coexistence.
Today’s agreement announced in Washington marks a historic turning point and presents Lebanon with a rare opportunity to fully restore its sovereignty, reclaim its national decision-making, and open a new chapter of security, stability, and peace.
We unequivocally support this process, led by the Lebanese state under the leadership of President Joseph Aoun and the Government, as the only serious national path capable of bringing decades of conflict to an end and addressing the outstanding issues between Lebanon and Israel.
For this process to succeed, all arms must be placed exclusively under the authority of the Lebanese state. Hezbollah’s weapons outside the framework of state legitimacy must come to an end, and the Lebanese Armed Forces must assume full security responsibility throughout the South as a first step toward extending the state’s authority across all Lebanese territory.
At the same time, Israel’s full withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territory remains an indispensable pillar of any just and lasting agreement that delivers security and peace for both sides.
Today is not merely the beginning of a new round of negotiations. It is the beginning of Lebanon’s path to reclaiming its state: one state, one army, one legitimate authority over arms, full sovereignty, and lasting peace.
If Lebanon is part of a regional deal, the President of Lebanon should have been and should be negotiating the deal.
Tehran cannot decide on any piece of Lebanon.
St. Ahmed was a 17th-century Muslim Ottoman official who LEFT ISLAM and converted to CHRISTIANITY.
He noticed how transformed his Christian slaves were after attending church. Curious, he started investigating Christianity for himself.
He decided to secretly attend a Divine Liturgy. During the service, he witnessed a miracle that convinced him Christianity was true. Afterward, he sought baptism and became a Christian.
His conversion eventually became known. One day, while discussing religion with other officials, he reportedly declared that there was nothing greater than the Christian faith. That statement led to his arrest.
He was brought before Ottoman authorities, given opportunities to return to Islam, and ultimately refused. He was tortured and then beheaded in Constantinople on May 3, 1682.
President Joseph Aoun spoke today with clarity and candor, exercising his constitutional authority as President of the Republic and Head of the Lebanese State.
His message to Tehran was unequivocal: Lebanon is not subordinate to Iran, nor is it a bargaining chip to be used in its negotiations with the United States. Lebanon is a sovereign nation, and its decisions must be made in Beirut, not in any other capital.
The President also delivered a clear message to Hezbollah: the only remaining path forward is to engage in the negotiation process led by the Lebanese state. Lebanon’s future cannot continue to be held hostage by illegal weapons or regional calculations.
I fully support this position. Lebanon has an elected President, legitimate constitutional institutions, and a national army. It is through these institutions alone that national decisions must be made. The decision of war and peace cannot remain in the hands of any armed group linked to foreign powers.
Stability, sovereignty, and peace can only be achieved through the Lebanese state and through the negotiations it conducts on behalf of Lebanon and the interests of the Lebanese people, not on behalf of any regional agenda.
