UGANDA ELECTIONS
African Union (AU), COMESA and IGAD
election observation mission is in Uganda ahead of the General Elections slated for 15th January, 2026.

At the invitation of @UgandaMFA and @UgandaEC, the AU-COMESA-IGAD have deployed 84 election observers to monitor Uganda’s 15 Jan 2026 General Elections. The Mission is led by former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, assisted by COMESA Elder Amb. Shemsudin Ahmed Roble, & IGAD’s Abebe Muluneh Beyene. The mission will observe polling, voting, counting & results across all regions.
