I wonder why we rarely hear about schools pushing students to accelerate through ELA. Schools proudly talk about a pathway to allow kids to take 3 years of math in 2 years... but rarely the same with ELA. How'd we got to a place where one option seems silly and the other great?
In grad school, I once made a boo-boo teaching freshman calculus. No serious prob, but now there are a number of middle-aged people unable to compute the rate of change of their shadow as they walk away from a lighted streetlamp.
My student drew this using my app, Learn, Draw, Share: Illinois Native Plants! A beautiful Wild Nodding Onion in the Lincoln Native Garden. https://t.co/21uxysDYar #D90Learns#AppleEDUchat#EveryoneCanCreate

We are looking for math games for middle school students. We use Block by Block, Brick by Brick, and BLOKUS. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. @MathICTM@MTBoS_Blogbot@uic_mcmi
I'm seeing so many anti-Pi Day takes from math folks!
My $0.02: y'all are grinching. Our otherwise math-averse culture now has a semiofficial math appreciation day with a built-in baked good. Take the W!
