@LyanndraD@ChloeMarch10 @TheEvGeller @askcomenity They seemed perfectly able to process payments when they just made a collections call to me for the payment I've missed while their system has been down. π€¬π€¬π€¬
So @askcomenity is making collection calls on its accounts even though their websites and cards have been inoperable for nearly two weeks. How is @CFPB not investigating this?
@caustic_o@KCHuangArt@pattonoswalt I haven't seen NPR. But I have talked to two OB/GYN friends. And I know I would have died if my care was delayed even a few more hours for a second certification of no heartbeat before the procedure.
@caustic_o@pattonoswalt No, lifesaving care is not outlawed. But you are NOT understanding the chilling effect on similar procedures that can be misconstrued as illegal when doctors fear they have police looking over their shoulders.
@caustic_o@pattonoswalt YOUR ignorance is showing. It's not about what is in the law. It's about criminalization making physicians afraid of their judgement/records being questioned, hospitals putting in extra processes to CYA that delay care, etc.
@caustic_o@pattonoswalt That "obligatory 1.5%" as you so dismissively call it, is about more than actual abortions. It's about people - like me - who need lifesaving care for miscarriages that will now encounter obstacles and delays due to provider fear.
@caustic_o@pattonoswalt A - yes it is, in some states that already had laws on the books. B - yeah, sure, rape & incest victims, and women experiencing pregnancy or health problems (even life-threatening ones) are just SOL. C - Born humans have rights, but I can't be forced to save a life with an organ.
@AP Might want to edit the next to last paragraph of your story about the Queen's Jubilee balcony plans again. Prince Andrew isn't the one married to Camilla. LOL
@NikkiFried My mortgage payment has gone up by nearly a third the past two years because of soaring home insurance costs. The insurance crisis needs fixing NOW!
@adrienne_paone @FlaglerRogue @Publix@kroger@BrianPaone Unfortunately several of the companies on that list are effectively monopolies whose customers have no choice.
