The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
@joekent16jan19 Your 15 minutes speech to excuse Trump’s betrayal of his own cult followers to the many staged assassination attempts was simply a waste of time … for you and everyone. Your problem is just you don’t see that an insurrectionist who now has dementia should not have been elected.
@joekent16jan19 Fair comment, but you omit to mention that Donald Trump - a person of BAD character in the first place - is now INSANE, IRRATIONAL and ERRATIC!
I sense you are trying to "respect the Presidency" - in Trump's case forget it! https://t.co/VoIBd6VoyN
@joekent16jan19 MAGA was the greatest bait and switch con job of all time. I now call it The Golden Rug Pull.
Trump was a Manchurian Candidate and is likely the decisive knockout blow on behalf of the Globalists implementing the Digital Gulag Architecture modeled after China.
@fragilesociety6 Russia is a terrorist state. Countries that invade are terrorists. Countries that send their troops to bomb another country are terrorists.
A country that bombs & kills 145 school children is a terrorist country. A country that bombs civilian infrastructure is a terrorist.
"We've been waiting for this for so long! Every day, every exchange..."
Ukrainian Defender Yevhen was taken captive by Russia in 2023. Today, he has finally returned home.
"My heart breaks for the guys who are still in Russian captivity. They're being held in such horrific conditions..." Yevhen shared.

Another 185 Ukrainian defenders are returning home today from Russian captivity. One civilian is also returning along with the defenders. They are warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine – privates, sergeants, and officers. They defended our state in Mariupol and at Azovstal, as well as in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kyiv, and Kursk sectors. Among them are those returning after years in Russian captivity, where they had been held since 2022.
I thank everyone who makes this possible: the team working on exchanges and our partners. And special gratitude to the warriors who replenish our exchange fund – who, through their strength and results on the frontline, ensure the return of our people home. The work continues. The return of our people is a constant priority for Ukraine. Every day, we are working to free every Ukrainian man and woman from captivity.
I just offered an amendment to prevent anyone convicted of heinous crimes — from attacking law enforcement to molesting children — from getting money from Trump's taxpayer financed slush fund.
Republicans blocked it.
All to please the Dear Leader. It's sick.
If you do not personally come to the conclusion that it is time to end this war, Ukraine will continue fighting for its existence. We will have those who support us.
But you, too, will have to fight much harder for your own existence — not Russia’s, but your own. And this is not a threat from me or from Ukraine. It is a fact of Russian history that you know well: when Russia grows tired, change comes.
We can work toward that fatigue.
You can stop your war.
Eternal memory to all those whose lives were taken by this war.
Glory to Ukraine!
@RepStephenLynch If our country, a signatory to the Budapest Agreement, cannot follow through on what it signed up for - which is to assure Ukraine's territorial integrity, then we certainly do not have any business nor moral authority to force Iran or any other country to give up their nukes.
@NATO Forget the U.S. while corrupt, sleepy and Putin-slave Donald Trump is in the WH.
Europe, UK and other allies should have an immediate plan of defense when one of them is attacked by Putin, such as what happened in Romania.
We are tribal and we are disconnected. 3 things would actually fix it.
1. End gerrymandering.
In a democracy the people are supposed to pick the politicians.
What we have now is politicians picking the people.
2. Massive campaign finance reform.
End the separate but equal democracy where money buys legislation.
Hard to do because these politicians love the money, but it has to happen.
3. National service.
Whether people like the idea or not.
George McGovern a staunch Democrat and Bob Dole a staunch Republican got along because they served in the US Army together.
They fought in the Second World War side by side.
In 1985, 85% of Congress had served in the military.
When people share something that hard and that real, the tribalism breaks down.
We’ve lost that connective tissue entirely.
We need to find a way to reknit this country before it’s too late.
On Thursday, I voted for the Ukraine Support Act, one of only 18 Republicans who sided with Democrats in the House to advance aid for Ukraine and strengthen sanctions on Russia. The bill passed the House by a vote of 226-195 and provides critical support for Ukraine's recovery and defense while increasing pressure on Russia's financial and energy sectors. Supporting our allies and standing up to authoritarian aggression remains an important American interest.
