Republic Day Celebrations at SSCTU 🇮🇳

🕊️ National Unity Day Celebrated 🇮🇳

On 31st October 2025, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of India’s unity, National Unity Day was celebrated grandly at Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Y.S. Srinivas addressed the students, reflecting on the great services of Sardar Patel and highlighting his crucial role in the political integration of India. He recalled how, under Patel’s leadership, more than 560 princely states were merged into the Indian Union, earning him a permanent place in history.

Through his vision, wisdom, and diplomacy, Sardar Patel peacefully integrated most princely states while taking decisive action to bring Hyderabad and Junagadh into the Union. Prof. Srinivas added that the people of India will always remember Patel’s contributions.

Dr. V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy, Officer on Special Duty, also interacted with the students and emphasized the significance of the day and the importance of upholding national unity and integrity.

The event concluded with students taking the National Unity Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the nation’s unity and strength. 🇮🇳

A proud moment for Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University (SSCTU)! 🎉

The logo of Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University (SSCTU) was unveiled today in New Delhi by Hon’ble Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan along with Hon’ble Minister of Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy, and Prof. Y. L. Srinivas, Vice-Chancellor, SSCTU.

The event was graced by the presence of Shri Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, GoI; Shri Subrat Pradhan, Director (Central Universities); Dr. V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy, Officer on Special Duty, SSCTU; and other senior officials of the Ministry of Education.

The university is named after the valiant tribal women and revered deities Sammakka and Sarakka, whose ideals inspire generations. The logo was thoughtfully designed to reflect their spirit and the university’s mission to uphold their vision through education and empowerment.

The yellow background, considered sacred by women, symbolizes purity and strength. At the base, the depictions of Sammakka and Saralamma represent divine protection for the university’s students and staff. The radiant red sun at the center resembles the kumkuma mark on Sammakka’s forehead-signifying her blessings and spiritual energy.

The peacock feather, integral to tribal life and attire, stands for beauty and cultural richness, while the crown-like design with horn motifs embodies the valor and pride of tribal heritage.

The motto on the logo draws from the major tribal languages of Telangana -
• Dam (Koya): Education
• Janan (Banjara): Wisdom
• Sudaran (Gond): Development

The Sanskrit phrase “Jñānam Paramam Dhyeyam” means “Knowledge is the supreme goal.” It reflects the belief that through education comes wisdom, and through wisdom, holistic development.

The logo not only celebrates the cultural splendor and tribal identity of Telangana but also stands as a symbol of inclusive and transformative learning at SSCTU. 🌿

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for SSCTU Compound Wall 🌿✨

A landmark moment was witnessed today at Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University, Mulugu, with the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for the compound wall across the permanent campus site of SSCTU, stretching about 8.4 kilometers. The event was held on Sunday, 28th September 2025, at 10:00 AM near Saibaba Temple Road, at the permanent campus site adjacent to the National Highway. Hon’ble Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Government of Telangana, Smt. Dr. Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Shri Balram Naik, MP (Mahabubabad), and Shri Godam Nagesh, MP (Adilabad), attended as the Guests of Honour. The ceremony was also attended by Shri Divakara M, Hon’ble District Collector of Mulugu, as Special Guest, and was presided over by Prof. Y.L. Srinivas, Vice Chancellor of SSCTU. Shri Seetharam Naik, Ex-MP, also joined the gathering.

All the dignitaries extended their support and shared words of encouragement for the growth and development of the university. This milestone not only marks the strengthening of SSCTU’s foundation but also symbolizes the beginning of a vibrant, secure, and future-ready campus that will stand as a beacon of higher education in Telangana.
