We have officially welcomed our new Principal, Mr. Kieran Verryt to Nano Nagle College this week. Having met with our staff and students, Mr Verryt looks forward to engaging with parents and the wider community over the coming weeks. @ceist
Our 3rd Year students began our Ceiliúradh CEIST celebration today. They explored what it means to be a CEIST school. In the spirit of creativity and celebration our students took part in a LEGO challenge, building models that linked Catholic schools and CEIST values.

Nano Nagle College pupils took part, assisted in and visited the Parochial Hall recently for the annual Christmas Craft Fair.A wonderful performance was also given by our school choir on the day.Our links to our local community continue to be a hugely valued part of school life.
Some of our students visited the Anglesea St. Fire Station yesterday to inspect the fire engines.They were also able to engage in very interesting conversations with some of the staff and were given demonstrations on how to use all their equipment safely.Great fun was had by all.
Our 3rd years had great fun making their own pizza last Friday! From mixing the dough to creating their finished pizzas, everything was made from scratch.
Yesterday, we held our annual carol service in the Church of the Resurrection, Farranree and what a lovely afternoon it was to begin the Christmas season. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to be with us and helped make the event so special. @ceist
Our amazing Canteen staff treated the whole school to a tasty Christmas lunch today, with some visits from a few Christmas characters too. A great afternoon with our whole school community coming together to celebrate. Best of luck to all our students starting exams!

Examinations are taking place for 1st/2nd and 5th years up to 11am Friday and full attendance is required by all of these students.
Congratulations to Fiona Rose Manuel for winning the CAPRN Christmas Card Competition. She was presented with her card and a small token of appreciation yesterday by two members of staff from the organisation.
Our 2nd Years enjoyed a lovely visit to our beautiful local church in Farranree today.
They got to see many of the things we’ve been learning about in class — with a special focus on the Advent Wreath and the Christmas tree as we prepare for the Christmas season.
A massive well done to our Transition Years who were at the Marina market today selling and displaying their mini company ideas. Our students were delighted to be able to view other businesses and get to display their own. Sales and expressions of interest were flying.
A wonderful afternoon in Kent Station today for our school choir who performed in aid of Focus Ireland. The packed station really enjoyed the Christmas songs and atmosphere created.
Huge well done to our u16 team who beat Terence MacSwiney 5-2 today in the Cork Cup. Best of luck to the lads as they advance to the next round!

Every 21st November our school community celebrates Presentation Day and our school’s founder Nano Nagle. Today, may we remember how blessed we are to be a part of this wonderful school and thank God for the gift of education.
Huge well done to our U15 soccer team who had a fantastic win in the first round of the Cork Cup on Friday. Although the weather wasn’t on our side, the goals were! Best of luck to the lads in the next round! ️
Nano Nagle College is celebrating College Awareness Week 2025 with activities and visits for our students to gain an understanding and insight into the many opportunities available to them.
