On the night of December 10 - the International Human Rights Day, the brutal military junta dropped two 500-pound #bombs from a fighter jet on a Public #Hospital providing medical care to civilians in Mrauk-U Township, #Rakhine State, killing 33 civilians. Sources say that many civilians and health workers were also injured in the inhumane attack.

We strongly condemn the inhumane actions of the murderous military #junta that is trying to gain legitimacy through a sham #election. This action only serves to further highlight the long-standing crimes committed by the military coup.

We deeply regret the loss of loved ones and the loss of lives in this brutal attack. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured Rakhine's people.

The Burmese military use jets, helicopters, and drones to drop bombs, and they deliberately target schools, medical centres, religious sites and homes. But the jets, helicopters, and drones all come from other countries. The fuel they use to fly them comes from abroad. The bombs they drop are purchased using military controlled banks from income from abroad. The UK, EU, USA, ASEAN and other countries must do more to cut off the supply of money, arms and aviation fuel reaching the Burmese military.
