@ParvumPrincipi As of late these people have been going to great lengths to discredit much of Greek history. Alexander the Great was Philip I grandchild who was of royal greek blood. His family ruled over the Macedonians paying taxes to Athens as a Greek state. All Greek states back then did.

@IMPERATORAUS Constantinople only fell because it was severely weakened by the 4th Crusade. It left the Empire in a vulnerable state. The Ottomans like to take credit for it, but without the crusades the outcome would have been very different.
