In contrast, political leaders rarely, if ever, place themselves in such perilous situations. By comparison, this individual’s actions demonstrate a level of courage and conviction that sets him apart. If he survives, he embodies the qualities of a leader who leads by example rather than from a distance. Such characteristics are rare and deserve acknowledgement.

Bangladeshi Woman Allegedly Ra/ped, Mur/dered in India; Protests Erupt in Dhaka

A 28-year-old Bangladeshi woman was allegedly ra/ped and mur/dered in Bengaluru, India, sparking protests by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Dhaka. The woman’s body was found near Kalkere Lake on Friday with severe head injuries. Police suspect she was lured to an isolated location before being ki/lled. She had been living in India for six years without documentation, while her husband, a cleaner, held a medical visa.

১৯শে জুলাই জুমার খুতবা চলাকালে পুলিশ যখন গু*লি চালাচ্ছিল, এই ছেলেটা সামনে এগিয়ে যায় কথা বলতে, যাতে কিছুক্ষণের জন্য হলেও সংঘর্ষ বন্ধ থাকে। আমরা কয়েকজন তখন আজমপুর কাচাবাজার মসজিদের দেয়াল ধরে ইট হাতে দাঁড়িয়ে দেখছি সব।

সবাইকে অবাক করে দিয়ে হাসিমাখা ছেলেটার সামনে এসেই তারা কোমড়ে বন্দুক ঠেকিয়ে সবার সামনে গু*লি করে দেয়। খুব সম্ভবত পেটের ডানপাশ থেকে নাড়ি*ভুঁড়ি বের হয়ে আসলে সে নিজের এক হাত দিয়ে তা চেপে ধরে ঐখানেই পড়ে যায়।

খোঁজ নিয়ে জানতে পারি ছেলেটার নাম রাতুল, নওয়াব হাবিবুল্লাহর ছাত্র। এ যাত্রায় বেঁচে ফিরলেও চিকিৎসার অভাবে বেডে পড়ে কাতরাচ্ছে। উত্তরা ক্রিসেন্ট থেকে সিএমএইচ, পরিপূর্ণ চিকিৎসা কোথাও পায়নি।
ঘাতক পুলিশেরও কিছু ছবি পেয়েছি যা এই পোস্টে সংযুক্ত করে দিচ্ছি।

গু*লি চলার পড়ে মসজিদের মিম্বার থেকে খুতবায় ইমাম সাহেবের ঘোষনা আসে, "যারা বাইরে গু*লি চালাচ্ছেন, তাদের জন্য আমি জাহান্নামের সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছি"

A VOA survey revealed that Bangladesh’s interim government has made notable improvements in ensuring the safety of minority communities. According to the survey, 64.1% of respondents believe the current government is providing better security than the previous administration.

While the Awami League government faced allegations of land grabbing and other forms of persecution against minorities, the interim government’s actions have improved the situation. With support from the administration and the public, security for places of worship has been strengthened. Although some incidents of violence have occurred, the government claims these were politically motivated.

However, minority communities still face a trust deficit. Human rights activists emphasize the need for further measures by the government to assure minorities of their safety and rights. 🇧🇩
