National divorce is preferable to unilateral secession, in part, due to general international opposition. Other countries (with which trade is vital), tend assent to mutual separation while ignoring one-sided secession due to international agreements on "self-determination."
Vast majority of the ND debate: people that have never given any serious thought to the subject and can't tell the difference between ND and unilateral secession.
if having blue cities in red states and red areas in blue states is intolerable--which is the current situation--that is an argument for national divorce and not against it
I dont agree that all that National Divorce, which is becoming mainstreamed far faster than I dared to dream, needs to be a function of Republican vs Democrat
A NY Republican is not the same as a SC Republican, and an FL Democrat is not the same as a CA Democrat
We need a national divorce.
We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government.
Everyone I talk to says this.
From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.
1/2 It's interesting to note the similarities between the Federalist/Anti-Federalist debate and the Czech/Slovak one. Both the Federalists and the Czech made the claim that their opponents wanted either federalism or disunion when neither the Anti-Federalists or Slovaks advocated
Whether you think abortion is healthcare or murder, neither is federal jurisdiction, but such a fundamental divide cannot peacefully coexist in the same society long term. Radical decentralization, up to and including #NationalDivorce, is the only path to peace long term.
@PeterMcCormack The only possible way of avoiding a hot civil war is #NationalDivorce because the Union has become incurably toxic. Decentralize, secede, everyone go their separate ways and stop trying to impose their values on everyone else.
A commitment to international recognition is an underlooked but important peaceful negotiation tactic by the minority party in intranational negotiations where #NationalDivorce is the ultimate goal. It allows a red line to be drawn but doesn't require action on your part.
It’s time that every state they would elect republicans to represent them, and all of the rest of us separate. You don’t wanna live in my world and I certainly don’t want to live in yours.
@TylerBoliver @PaleoPooch @kenzietuff It's due to the way Dicken Schrader constructed the map based upon the UN's two-state solution for Israel/Palestine: https://t.co/V3aVaScol4
1. You know what is necessary about threatening a divorce?
It’s a wake up call to the one offending the other that they’ve had enough.
And if the other party cares at all, they look at what they are doing wrong and care to fix it.
National Divorce is not civil war.

A #NationalDivorce is not a declaration of war, it is an attempt to avoid one. It’s a call for a ceasefire. A truce. A recognition that some differences are irreconcilable and rather than force one group to submit to the other, they should each be allowed to live as they please.
Just your daily reminder that national divorce and unilateral secession are not the same thing. ND (Belgium/Netherlands split) is peaceful while US (American Revolution, Biafra, Confederate States of America) is not.
BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene calls for a "National Divorce" and says "brainwashed" Democrats who move from blue to red states should have a "cooling off period" before they're allowed to vote. RT TO REMIND HER THE LAST "NATIONAL DIVORCE" WAS THE CIVIL WAR AND HER SIDE LOST!
