@hjluks 1. It will hurt. Like hell. But you must hit your rehab 1000%. No excuses; 2. Be patient. Take 6 weeks off to dedicate fully to recovery. Recovery rate is 75% at 3 months, 90% at 6m, 100% at 12m. 3. Try to increase strength and ROM beforehand, but thats a bonus. 2/
@hjluks I had mine 10 yrs ago. Literally save my life - was crippled, now can walk 18, do 60 min peloton rides, hike. I have prepared several buddies and talked them thru recovery. Everyone is diff but I have a few consistent messages 1/
@hjluks Couldn’t agree more. This should be required education for every specialty. Esp in today’s world where patients/ parents may get a result via portal before we have a chance to contact them
