Coming to the end of Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month.
8 IN 10 WOMEN HAVE NEVER
CHECKED THEIR
VULVA FOR SIGNS OF CANCER
JUST 4 IN 100
WOMEN
REGULARLY CHECK
THEIR VULVA
Why we need awareness so any chance of helping with that @NHSuk ?
Everyone’s vulva is unique– the shape, size, texture and scent, which is why it’s important to know what’s normal for you. This way, any changes—no matter how small—are easier to spot, potentially catching cancer early when it’s more treatable.
So what is normal & what's not?
We need more awareness so women don’t self treat for thrush and health professionals don’t also misdiagnose.
Nurses need mandatory training in vulval diseases.
Thank you Pippa
